He just love love looooves people, and will show that off with his whole body wiggle and softening eyes.
He would be a great hot water bottle substitute for our ‘Winter’ as he just loves a snuggle, though whether he will share those snuggles with other dogs is to be decided by him. Rocco needs to meet any potential new family members as he can be choosy with what other dogs he wants to befriend, but the pattern seems to be it’s other cocky males who tick Rocco off.
He really is just a lovable friendly guy though, who is still very puppy-like and happy-go-lucky.
Going back to how handsome he is though, having a body this toned and taught takes work; this athlete loves to take jumping to new heights, scaling (or at least attempting to!) any mesh or timber fence put in his way. Being a very introverted fellow, Kaiser prefers to be an only dog, and likes to save his affection for those closest to his heart. This is not to say he is aggressive, because he is not, but he is very ambivalent to people until he has deemed them one of his ‘pack’, so it is important that he has an owner who will advocate for him when it comes to visitors or strangers wanting to give him some love.
With his stoic presence, it’s easy to feel safe in the company of Kaiser when out and about on walks. She is unfortunately overlooked often, through no fault of her own, as she is a young girl who shows a lot of potential to become a great family dog. Social with other dogs, yet very submissive, she is easy to mix with others.
Bonnie is responsive, so while being at the shelter she will try and jump to compete with other puppies for cuddles, she is quick to learn that this is not an appropriate way to get attention and does not push her luck, giving her that ideal disposition for families wanting a puppy that is not too overtly over the top. Having spent so much time in the shelter environment, she unfortunately can get unsure of new things, but with a new home to help her see more of the big wide world she warms up very quickly.
Bonnie is a devoted girl, who at meet and greets may not give you the ‘instant connection’, but you will see how dedicated she is to the staff that care for her; which is a sure sign of a dog who is going to really look up to her new handlers with a nice bit of neutrality for all those around her. BIN: 00002921982635 About: Roxy is a 9 ½ year old Bull Arab. She came into YAPS as an 8 year old suffering from Heart Worm and went through a successful treatment process.
Roxy is a big girl who loves her walks, food, and sleeping. She is excellent on the lead but strong and likes to take her time and sniff everything. The beach and open fields are her favourite.
Ideally, she needs a good-sized fenced yard, although she doesn’t wander from the foster home, and preferably live with someone that spends a lot of time at home. She will be insecure until she is sure you will look after her and come home if left alone.
She loves people and shows so much affection, her tail never stops wagging and she thinks she is a lap dog at times.
Wherever you are she will always be by your side so be prepared to have her in the house and sleep inside. She is very well house trained so no chewing and will tell you when it’s toilet time.
She does like to chase bigger wildlife like turkeys and rodents and not suitable if you have a cat.
She likes to talk and will remind you it’s walk or dinner time.
She is also dog selective; she will mix with other dogs, but she will decide which ones.

Blue was originally from Innisfail, who had been purchased as a pup by an elderly couple who quickly realised they had bitten off more than they could chew as Blue was becoming a teenager. He arrived at the shelter at 11 months old, as an absolute hurricane of a lanky lad who thought he could mount anything that looked at him, charge and have a go at any other dog with him in a yard, and simply ignore everyone and do what he wanted!!.
With the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and helper dogs, Blue quickly learnt that there were more effective ways to garner the attention of humans, and that other dogs were actually really fun to play with!
Firm boundaries, and daily mental and physical stimulation has ensured Blue’s story became a success one, and he has really shined through as the stunning canine citizen that he is.
Blue is going to make an exceptional and loyal right hand man to a new family who understands the needs of such an athletic and intelligent dog.
